How to Add a PDF to Your Donation Receipts with GiveWP


Hey everyone! I’m Amanda Gorman, Customer
Success Manager at GiveWP. Today I’m going to show you how to add a PDF receipt download
link to your Donation Receipt emails. Adding a link for the PDF download to the
donation receipt emails is a great way to provide your donors with exactly what they
need for tax season or any other use case. Note: this will require our PDF Receipts premium
add-on. Once you’re logged into your WordPress Dashboard,
head over to Donations → Settings. Next, find the “Emails” tab.
Open the Donation Receipt email to edit. Scroll down to the available template tags
and find the {pdf_receipts} tag, select and copy the tag.
Scroll back up to the Email Message area and add a line below “view receipt in your browser,”
or wherever you want to display the PDF download link.
Add a call to action and paste your PDF receipt tag.
Now, save your changes and preview your email to see how it looks. Let me know in the comments if you have any
