Webcam Not Working Windows 10 (Official Dell Tech Support)


If you find that your webcam isn’t working, here are a few quick & easy steps to get it back working properly again. Make sure that you have the proper lighting
and the brightness settings are correct. A blank, black or dark screen
can be caused by low light conditions or when the webcam is in the wrong mode. Test the webcam in a well-lit area and adjust
the brightness setting in the Skype software; refer to the Skype website for more details. Once you’ve tried that, try reinstalling
the webcam drivers. Close any apps that might be using the webcam;
including web pages. In the Search box type Device Manager
and open it in the control panel. Expand Imaging Devices or Camera. If there is no Imaging Device listed,
contact our Technical Support. Right-click on the Integrated Webcam or
USB Camera and click Uninstall. After you’ve done this, restart your computer; Windows 10 will automatically detect and install the most up to date Webcam drivers. Try out your webcam and if it still isn’tworking, uninstall and reinstall the webcam software. In Settings, select Apps and Apps & Features. Open Camera and click on Advanced Options. Scroll down and click on Reset. When this process is complete, test your webcam. If necessary, there are two more updates you should do. Update the BIOS and the latest Chipset.
